Love is in the air with the arrival of the wedding season. With the reception details sorted, invitations sent, and bridesmaid dresses ticked off the list, we arrive at the most important decision of all - the bridal gown. As the season of "I dos" draws near, many brides find themselves at a crossroads - should they go for something timeless or lean into the latest trends? My take? When the day is anything but ordinary, why settle for something fleeting?

As modern wedding dresses grow in popularity, it’s hard not to feel like some of the deeper values behind a wedding are getting lost. Why are we choosing to go basic for a day, meant to be grand? If there’s ever a time to fully embrace your main character energy, it’s now. And let’s be honest, for a day to remember, it has always been the bride’s gown that people remain in awe of.

Speaking of leaving your crowd in awe, Elie Saab has released their new Spring Summer 2026 bridal collection, and I must say, it is one to be deeply appreciated. I always find myself lost for words when it comes to this brand, especially when it comes to embracing divine femininity throughout each collection - a characteristic that Elie Saab never fails to evoke.

This collection not only highlights the beauty of a wedding but allows their bride to truly feel unapologetically themselves as they enter a day dedicated to love. The mixture of modern femininity and timeless elegance radiates through these gowns. From satin so luminous it catches the light with every turn, to delicately sewn lace that traces your silhouette like a whisper - tell me, have you fallen in love yet?

There’s something undeniably poetic about this collection. Each gown frames the bride like a work of art, allowing her true character to shine through - and honestly, isn’t that what weddings are all about? A feeling so dreamlike, it almost doesn't seem real.

From maximalist to minimalist, modern to timeless, trendy to classic, Elie Saab’s collection truly inspires. Whether you see it as an exquisite work of art or the wedding dress of your dreams, this collection leaves a lasting impression.

Whether it’s the elegance of an off-the-shoulder satin gown that embraces ivory skin or the understated beauty of a floral appliqué dress, Elie Saab continually redefines the boundaries of bridal beauty.

So tell me, can you name a better brand that truly captures the essence of modern style whilst honouring the timeless elegance that a wedding evokes? I will be waiting.

When it comes to bridal collections, I’m instantly captivated. Of course, some rise above the rest, and no two gowns ever mirror each other, but what makes bridal truly stand out to me is the way each piece feels destined for someone specific. It’s like a hidden string theory, but for wedding gowns and honestly, that’s a theory I can get behind. But with Jimmy Choo, the feeling went deeper. As The Atelier graced the runway at Barcelona Bridal Week, the room fell into a reverent hush. Beauty didn’t just arrive - it broke through the doors and swept us into a living fairytale.

One thing Jimmy Choo never fails to deliver is an unwavering sense of elegance, stitched into every seam. Whether it’s garments or accessories, each piece is crafted with such intention and refinement that it’s no surprise fashion is so often seen as art. Transitioning seamlessly from elevated everyday wear to ethereal bridal, Jimmy Choo’s latest collection reimagines the modern wedding gown. Through cascading ruffles, intricate appliqué, and delicate beading, he softens the sharp edges of contemporary bridalwear, offering pieces that feel timeless, yet still perfectly at home in the now.

With the return of the summer sun comes a fresh wave of trends - and this season, our long-standing love affair with pastels has reignited, especially with dreamy shades of powder blue and lilac taking centre stage. While the all-white gown remains the timeless bridal staple, there’s something undeniably exciting about bending the rules - because, let’s face it, they were made to be broken. Jimmy Choo unveiled a series of breathtaking gowns that didn’t just stun the brides-to-be - they left the grooms utterly captivated. Staying true to the purity that white traditionally represents, yet pushing the boundaries of bridal expectations, Jimmy Choo offered a modern redefinition - and he did so effortlessly.

The subtle touches of lilac and blue woven throughout the collection brought an ethereal, almost spellbinding femininity - the kind every bride quietly dreams of on her wedding day. Truthfully, I was nearly moved to tears by one gown. Its sheer elegance was overwhelming. Each design didn’t just walk the runway - it told a story, introduced a new emotion, and carried a depth that lingered long after the show had ended.

From the moment that the collection graced the stage, it was evident that we had entered something regal. Each gown was not only embedded with pure opulence, but the silhouette behind each piece was captivating. With the slightest movement, the dress came to life as though a thousand crystals paraded upon the gown. From the accessories to the delicate threads, each shine was intentional. There is no other way to describe such a darling collection: It was nothing short of enchanting.

If you are after a gown that falls in love with your curves and allows the spotlight to truly shine on you, run, do not dare to walk to Jimmy Choo. I can confidently say that this is a collection that will have you falling in love on a loop.

As someone with an old heart, I can’t help but gravitate toward traditional looks. There’s something so luxurious about an all-white gown, embellished with pearls or draped in lace - all qualities that a simple white mini dress can never quite capture.

After the processional, those heading into the reception may look to brands like Nadine Merabi for a dress that reflects the charm of the occasion. With so much to choose from, you’re never out of luck when it comes to finding the perfect ceremonial ensemble. That said, choosing what comes after your ceremony look can be a bit of a challenge, which is exactly where Nadine Merabi steps in. Think floral appliqué, delicate pearls, and that undeniable hint of powerful sophistication. They’ve truly thought of everything.

This is a brand that deeply respects timeless structure, allowing it to flow effortlessly through every collection. But make no mistake - while tradition runs through their seams, they capture modern desires just as seamlessly. You’ll always catch glimpses of current trends woven in, but never in a way that feels fleeting. Instead, the pieces feel cherished, even a little nostalgic. In this latest collection, tradition and trend work in harmony to reach those brides longing for something old, something new, and now, something ageless.

From jumpsuits to classic satin maxi dresses, this brand truly understands not only the emotions tied to a wedding but also the unique character everyone brings. They’ve crafted a stunning collection that effortlessly caters to a diverse range of styles. Featuring breathtaking garments that are sure to leave you in awe, Nadine Merabi has once again nailed the mark for the Spring-Summer wedding season.

The perfect bridal gown is often a visual masterpiece, yet it tends to come at the cost of comfort. Whether you're cinched into a snatched corseted waist or gracefully stumbling over an extravagant train, the reality is that bridal gowns are not always as flawless in feel as they are in appearance. That was precisely my sentiment until I discovered Alonuko.

Founded by Oluwagbemisola Okunlola, Alonuko was born from a vision to marry beauty with comfort, designed specifically to enhance the diverse silhouettes of women who too often feel unseen in the bridal world. Okunlola has made it her mission to ensure that women from all walks of life feel beautiful, celebrated, and, most importantly, at ease on their special day.

Alonuko is far more than another bridal brand. Specialising in bespoke creations, each gown is tailored to both your body and your needs. While many bridal labels continue to favour a traditional aesthetic, whether cast in modern or classic light, Okunlola recognised a glaring lack of inclusivity. She sought to redefine bridalwear by highlighting the unique beauty inherent in every woman, specifically focusing on those of colour.

Though the collection may be intimate in size, it is undeniably powerful in presence. Each gown carries its own distinctive story, a narrative crafted to reflect the individual bride. With every stitch sewn with meticulous care, no embellishment is overlooked. These gowns capture the essence of timeless beauty, tailored with intention.

Alonuko’s versatility also deserves mention. From detachable overskirts perfect for transitioning seamlessly from the ceremony to the reception, each ensemble allows you to feel both refined and free. Among my personal favourites are SOL-04 and SOL-06 - two standout pieces from the nine-gown offering. Whether you're drawn to a silhouette that honours your curves in timeless elegance, or to a regal design adorned with delicate appliqué florals that nod to the ethereal, I can say with certainty: your dream dress is awaiting you here.

I am rarely left without words, but this collection renders me just that. Alonuko shines a new light on brides who seek something beyond the conventional. Do not sacrifice comfort on a day that honours not only your love for your partner, but also your love for yourself. Step into a world of fashion that does not pit beauty against comfort but celebrates the harmony between richness and solace.

The dream of a perfect wedding can feel out of reach at times for many couples. When the price of that dream starts increasing, it’s easy to let it fade. But with wedding season fast approaching, it would be a shame to miss out on such a special moment simply because it doesn’t fit your budget. So why not budget?

Your dream day doesn’t have to cost thousands, especially if you feel like a million by the end of it. Sure, a grand venue often calls for a grand dress, but let me help you cut that cost without cutting the impact. From personal experience, I can vouch for the exceptional quality of Club L London’s gowns. Whether it’s your pre-wedding dinner, the reception, or even the walk down the aisle, they’ve got you covered.

Each piece has its distinctive character that will embody confidence once displayed on a bride. Whether you are in search of a mini dress, gown, or suit, this is a brand that will leave you with diverse choices for any wedding event. Crafted to see you through your big day, these angelic garments release the essence of allure without compromising cost.

It’s not the price tag that makes an outfit special, it’s how you wear it. Styling is what brings any garment to life. See, a wedding dress is just the foundation; confidence is the second layer, and accessories are the final touch.

Define, Saint, and Elene are just three of the standout dresses in the bridal shop. Each one exudes its unique charm, meticulously crafted to perfection and offering the ideal foundation for any bride. These designs serve as captivating blank canvases, ready to be transformed with the creativity and personal touches you desire.

Many brides face the stress of searching for two separate dresses for their special day, but Club L London alleviates that concern by providing these multifaceted designs. Beauty that is precisely composed to be versatile whilst still honouring wedding values, the brand has broken society’s ideals that a wedding must be expensive. With quality gowns to state otherwise, may the wedding begin!

Last but certainly not least…the darling Vera Wang. The only brand that truly understands what a wedding is all about. A brand that knows how to dress a bride. And above all, a brand that can show the values of a wedding within the gowns.

Never failing, Vera Wang released her new bridal 2025 collection in collaboration with Pronovias the leading global bridal brand for luxury. With two of the most renowned bridal designers in collaboration, you just know that their release was going to be groundbreaking.

Undoubtably, Vera Wang x Pronovias exceeded expectations and set the standard for 2025 bridal fashion. Vera Wang follows the traditional appeal but adds an element of culture and question to each piece. Whilst this collection holds many adoring pieces from their princess wedding gown, Jadeau, to their wondering Myron satin silhouette, it also has the modernisation touches that are sure to leave you speechless.

Traditionally, white has been the only colour deemed appropriate for a bride on her special day, a symbol of purity, serenity, and the beginning of a joyful new chapter. But as times have changed, so has the narrative. For many women, starting a new journey feels empowering, bold, and yes, sometimes even a little daunting. So now the question becomes: why wear white if that’s not how you feel?

Enter the black gown for the 2025 wedding season. Controversial? Definitely. Powerful? Without a doubt. I must admit I could never wear a black wedding dress. I admire a clean, white satin gown far too much. But a black wedding gown? That’s something I find fascinating.

Once again, Vera Wang gets it right. She’s redefined the traditional bridal gown and transformed it into a daring chapter one that makes women feel powerful, confident, and entirely themselves. These gowns are made for the bride who’s ready to break tradition, or for the woman who yearns for something different.

Painstakingly crafted with elegance and intention, these designs use shape and volume to highlight the beauty of a woman in her element, graceful, strong, and unapologetically bold.

From tradition to trend, who does it best? Brands like Vera Wang and Elie Saab honour the timeless values of a wedding while seamlessly embracing modern shifts in style. When crafted like this, the result is nothing short of breathtaking. These pieces capture your heart, the gasps of your guests, and most importantly, the gaze of your partner.

A wedding dress might only be worn once, but the moment you choose it, you’re also choosing a version of yourself - your next chapter, your future. A true wedding gown is something to admire, to remember, and maybe even pass down.
