Traditional Florals Meet Skater Style In Vans & Liberty London Collaboration

Published

Who would have thought Liberty London, a traditional fabric shop in the heart of London that opened in 1875 would be collaborating with modern contemporary skater brand Vans for an exclusive springtime collection. Remaining true to its creative heritage and quality of its authentic fabrics, the collection will feature three of the stores textile designs printed onto the classic Vans old school silhouette.

Classic skater styles meet traditional impressionistic floral prints in a footwear collection that captures the beauty of artisanship and the urban rawness of the footwear brand. Across the collection, each tapered shoe uses a different printed fabric on its upper alongside the signature vans contrasting stripe.

Following Liberty London’s classic printing techniques, each pattern is hand-drawn or painted by an in house design team which is then materialised into a piece of fabric at the brand’s printing mill in Italy. From a multi-coloured floral pattern on a black backdrop and a primary coloured patchwork floral print to a floral paisley inspired print, the collection offers a range of contemporary designs that are perfect for the summer months ahead.

What’s more, the playful footwear collection extends to a range of unisex apparel and accessories. Championing contrasting, checkerboard blocking, patchwork patterns and the signature liberty florals, and a range of canvas mini bags and panelled bucket hats.

The Vans Made With Liberty London will be made available soon on both brands official websites, so be sure to sign up to receive the details.
