Happy New Year! Beginning 2022 with lifestyle changes and those new year’s resolutions we always promise to stick to, there’s certainly one thing that won’t change this year and that is our weekly rundown of the latest fashion, beauty and lifestyle news! This week we’re taking a dip into fresh beauty collections, working out in style with the latest activewear launches and running into the weekend with a bold trainer collection.

Cardi B Lights Up the New Year with NYC Inspired Collection

Stepping into the new year with a certified apparel collaboration, Cardi B is back making money moves with Reebok in her second collection ‘Let Me Be…In My World Nighttime’. Inspired by the bright city lights and vibrant New York skylines of her hometown, the elevated capsule collection is home to sculpting apparel pieces in an inclusive size range from 2XS to 4XL. From form-fitting crops and relaxed cargo pants to fleece fabrics and mesh inserts, the pieces blend unapologetic confidence with undeniable comfort. Running alongside the collection is a contemporary reinvention of the classic leather sneaker silhouette. Illuminated with metallic colourways and captivating detailing, the trainer is available in black, pale blue, silver and gold.

Tom Daley Jumps into the Pool of Knitting

From an iconic video of him knitting at the Tokyo Olympics last year, Tom Daley OBE has dived into a playful collaboration with cosmopolitan conscious knit brand We Are Knitters. Bringing a whole new luxury to the definition of knitting, the modern brand is dedicated to slow fashion and contemporary design styles. Describing his love of knitting as his happy place, the diver said this hobby brings calm, still and mindfulness whilst creating pieces that mean a lot to him; something the brand wants us to feel too! Featuring two designs by the Olympian himself of the ‘Hands in the air if you just don’t flare sweater’ which drew inspiration from the brand’s Dada Sweater; alongside a relaxed fit ‘The Vest Dressed’ knit vest that captures his personal style. Both WAK X Tom Daley designs are available in a range of colours, perfect for intermediate-level knitters.

Burberry Launch Inspiring Creative Series

Beginning this month, Burberry’s Chief officer Riccardo Tisci is set to carry out a creative series in which his luxury British brand partners with inspiring creatives for each of the fashion house’s pre-collections. Experimenting with and personally interpreting Tisci’s modern Burberry identity through a new lens, the ‘Friends and Family’ partnership will feature individuals from unexpected backgrounds and invite participants to style the brand’s pre-collections with their own unique design vision. Celebrating togetherness, style and family, the first collaboration will star model Lea T who is connected to both animals, nature and effortless romantic style. The new series is all about voice, inspiration, identity and originality. This is a conversation we’re ready to see brought to life!

Adidas Team up with Prada for Re-Nylon Collection

With a fashion narrative beginning in 2019, Adidas and Prada are writing a new chapter of their high-fashion collaboration story this year; beginning with a 21 piece capsule collection of ready-to-wear apparel, accessories and a sustainable, reinvented footwear silhouette. Crafted from recyclable textures and textile fibre waste, the Re-Nylon collection blends Adidas’ timeless classic sportswear styles with Prada’s contemporary technical innovation whilst marking their evolution from virgin nylon. Alongside track jackets, bucket hats and a wide range of bags, the elevated collection restyles the retro-styled forum high and low sneaker silhouettes with Re-Nylon textures, intricate detailing and monochromatic colourways. The luxury, experimental collection is available from both Prada and Adidas websites from January 13th, so be sure to check it out because this one’s going to be in high demand.
