Fashion House Meets House of Mouse with Stella McCartney’s New Disney Fantasia Capsule Collection

British fashion designer Stella McCartney, and entertainment powerhouse, Disney are teaming up to create 2022’s most magical capsule collection so far! 

The ‘Disney Fantasia’ capsule collection came as an unexpected surprise to high-fashion fans but features an array of unique and colourful elevated designs, boasting original and warped graphics and Fantasia prints from the 1940 Walt Disney production! The designs are sure to capture the hearts of avid Disney fans globally, with rare, limited edition posters and motifs from the cartoon being printed onto repurposed fabrics and materials!

The collection includes a multitude of playful pieces such as brightly coloured fringed kaftans with organic cotton towelling, light-blue washed jeans featuring vintage mickey designs, vibrant remixed Fantasia print dresses and cotton hoodies and vests subtly inspired by scenes in the original Fantasia movie. As well as creating a variety of new and irreverent pieces, Stella McCartney also revisits her iconic Loop sneaker but with airy pastel pink rainbow Mickey graphics and embellishments!

McCartney experiments with multiple aesthetics throughout the collection, from coastal cool to a 90’s festival – the Fantasia capsule collection embraces an array of popular spring/summer styles and each piece is made with conscience at its core. 

Stella McCartney, known for her fur-free and leather-free apparel, presents the Disney Fantasia capsule collection made with responsible and eco-conscious materials; upcycling old stock, repurposing silks, recycled nylon and polyester as well as sourcing wool from regenerative farms with traceable sources.
