Marking 25 years of creating footwear, bags and fashion-forward accessories for women, Charles & Keith commemorate their silver jubilee with a limited-edition capsule collection – The Anniversary Series.
Paying homage to its past, whilst reflecting on its present and offering a glimpse into the future, Executive Director Emmanuelle Mace-Driskill takes this moment to reflect on the brand’s boundary-breaking fashion journey through the last quarter-century.
Making an appearance in the series, we see styles ranging from minimalist flat sandals and feminine heels to classic chunky boots, modern and versatile footwear that can seamlessly integrate into any woman’s wardrobe. Elements of 90s-inspired footwear are also evident, from square toes and chunky soles to strappy numbers, throwing it back to the decade in which the brand was born.
Another highlight of the collection is the Sonia line, consisting of a padded bag, boxy bag and padded wallet, all dressed with the collection’s colour palette of timeless black and pops of candy pink.
Demonstrating the brand’s commitment to a better future, this capsule collection has been made entirely from eco-friendly recycled materials. Modern and minimalistic, the Arabella Recycled Nylon Slingback Sandals are constructed from upcycled used rubber and have transcended into stylish, translucent soles sporting speckled confetti to make the celebratory occasion. Alternatively, taking a polished and elegant approach, the unique Sepphe Recycled Nylon Grommet Slingback Mules feature recycled marbled-pattern plastic heels.
The campaign stars English model Lily McMenamy, who was also involved in the art direction and styling of the photoshoot, draws inspiration from and re-interpreting 90s fashion trends.
