It often takes strength, courage, willpower and a whole lot of relentless motivation to recover from injury and for personal trainer Lucy Arnold, a debilitating back injury forced her to dramatically change career pathways and search for an alternative way to empower women.
Making women feel happy, healthy and strong both physically and mentally, the 30 year old personal trainer turned entrepreneur launched her very own independent activewear label Lucy Locket Loves, whilst staying true to her undeniable passion for the industry and all things fitness.
Specialising in bold, uplifting colourways and playful all over prints that are sure to lift the mood of any exhausting workout, Lucy began to notice how dull her existing activewear wardrobe was and realised she could create affordable pieces that felt both bright and fun. The young entrepreneur took a leap of faith and began investing in a small batch of funky leggings that were sold to her former clients.
From packing orders in her living room to moving stock into her PT studio to manage the volume of demand, Lucy then found herself moving into a bigger warehouse as orders began to rise. Four years later in 2020, Lucy has a booming business and was even named on the Forbes 30 under 30 Europe list.
With the ultimate belief that many activewear retailers do not speak to the real faces of fitness, the empowering brand stock sizes extending from 6 to 26. “We hate the term plus size in our business” Lucy explains “When does somebody stop being a size and become a plus? We want to empower people of all shapes and sizes to feel good whilst working out.”
