StyleSwap Launches London Pop-Up to Help Simplify Pre-Loved Premium Fashion Shopping
Founded in 2019 by Josephine Waddington, StyleSwap is on a mission to disrupt the retail market as we know it, making buying and reselling your wardrobe cost-effective and as enjoyable as possible. With consumers becoming more conscious of the impact fashion has on their world, the home of preloved fashion was born to help make people feel happier and more comfortable about their fashion choices, by creating a digital playground for conscious consumers to monetize their wardrobe and socialize with likeminded shoppers.
Working as an educational platform for women, aiding them to fight fast fashion without having to compromise their unique styles, the sustainable personal shopping service changes the game when it comes to online shopping. Their fashion quiz that personalizes your feed to your style is a personal favourite, so we can avoid the time-consuming process of swiping through thousands of products that have no personal appeal.
But now, StyleSwap is taking their website on the road by opening a pop-up shop in London for just three days. From the 10th to the 13th of March at 10 South Molton Street, London, you can join Josephine Waddington to discuss sustainable fashion and shop for some stunning pre-loved luxury pieces.
Boasting an array of digital and luxury brands such as Gucci, Aje, Rat and Boa and Dior – all ready-to-wear with a minimum retail price of £15, the brand monitor and veto any products that do not meet its premium – so you can be sure that every garment meets its high-fashion standard!
Founder, Josephine Waddington started out her fashion career in the fast fashion industry as a creative and saw the impact fashion has on our earth firsthand through her creating ready-to-wear pieces for fashion brands such as Zara, Topshop, Mango and ASOS. Waddington’s experiences in the fast fashion industry are what inspired her to be a change-maker, and actively take steps to solve the issues surrounding fashion production as opposed to simply observing it.
I wanted to positively contribute to the much-needed change in our fashion industry…StyleSwap is good for the planet and great for your wallet. - Josephine Waddington, Founder and CEO
When the concept for StyleSwap was born, Waddington had a very specific goal in mind – to change the behaviour of consumers. Through buying and selling on the site, as well as communicating with people who are passionate about the planet, consumers’ minds can be reshaped and encouraged to become thought-leaders in the fight for a more sustainable fashion future. With the long-term vision to redistribute up to 10 million pre-loved fashion items by 2026, this is definitely a brand to keep your eye on!
