Butter yellow is the shade that has cropped up everywhere: courtside at Wimbledon and among Glastonbury’s crowds, turning heads in sun-soaked co-ords, crochet, and sheer layering.

At Wimbledon, it brought a breath of warmth to the sea of white. Olivia Dean was radiant in a soft lemon midi from AYM Studios.

Lana Del Rey, who had performed at Wembley just days earlier, wore a dreamy, pale yellow custom Gucci dress on stage, a blend of old-Hollywood romance and butter-soft femininity. Across festivals, the hue turned up in mesh, crochet, cargos and co‑ords, easy to spot, impossible to ignore. It’s sunshine with a side of attitude.

Luxury designers are clearly on board. Loewe’s SS25 runway was a love letter to structure and softness, with buttery yellows seen in sculptural tailoring, oversized feathers, and wide-belted silhouettes.

Jacquemus, meanwhile, offered a sharp contrast with its playful 'La Croisière' SS25 show at Paris Men’s Fashion Week featuring vibrant yellow mini dresses, iridescent coats, and slick outerwear with edge.

There’s a quiet confidence in this colour. It flatters without fading into the background, polished yet never predictable at a festival, on court, or front row at Silverstone. Happy shopping!
