Paige Williams didn't set out to open a normal beauty store, and with FROW among the first invited to preview P.Louise City at Trafford Palazzo ahead of Sunday's opening, that much is obvious within minutes.

This is P.Louise's first ever permanent flagship store, and at 19,000 square feet across two floors, it has been built to feel like exactly that, not a shop extension bolted onto an already successful brand, but a genuinely new kind of space. There's a P.Louise Pharmacy and Supermarket, a hair salon offering blow dries alongside the brand's own haircare range, a lip oil station where you build your own bottle and add engraved charms, and even a pink petrol station where you pour your own foaming cleanser and get a mock P.Louise driving licence made on the spot.

A golden door leads through to the P.Louise Vault, reserved for loyalty subscribers. Upstairs holds a VIP area with its own florist, private dining and party rooms, and even a cinema. Based at the P.Louise Medic boutique, there will also be a dermatologist on hand in store to answer skincare questions suited to your age, a first for the brand. Nothing about the layout suggests a brand simply scaling up a format that already existed. It suggests a brand building what a beauty store could actually be if nobody puts limits on it first.

The staff greet you properly, not the practised kind of friendly you brace for in most retail spaces. Every zone has its own identity, built to feel like the brand Paige's community already knows online, just brought into a physical space they can actually walk around, touch, and take part in rather than scroll past.

That level of intention runs through the whole building. Every corner has clearly been thought through, right down to the smallest detail, with the physical experience treated as the entire point rather than an afterthought.

Paige's story has been well documented by now. She is self-funded from day one, with no investors, no shortcuts taken to get here faster. She has said herself that she's had opportunities to go into retail before, but held out until it could be done entirely on the brand's own terms. What comes through spending real time in the space is how deliberate every single decision has clearly been. Nothing about P.Louise City feels rushed or thrown together to hit a launch date.

Paige has never played it safe with her brand, and its first flagship doesn't either. It's bold, it's got real personality, and it's unmistakably hers throughout.

Doors officially open at Trafford Palazzo this Sunday, with excitement already building across Manchester ahead of it. This is a genuinely significant moment for P.Louise, and once those doors open, it won't take long for people to understand exactly why. For more information on P.Louise City, visit here.
