FROW News #137: Hailey Bieber Designs for Adanola, SZA Reworks Vans & The Beauty Beat Is Almost Here đâ¨
SZA has found a design solution to a shoe habit her mum has spent years trying to stop. The tracksuit, meanwhile, has acquired some going-out ambitions, and M&S is getting better acquainted with Coco de Mer. Even the beauty news has a sweet tooth, with coffee and crème brÝlÊe turning up somewhere other than the menu.
Thereâs company for anyone still figuring life out, inspiration for the reading pile and a few reasons to take the group chat beyond âwe should do something soonâ. Put the kettle on. Weâve even got something unexpected for your mug. Letâs get into it. âŹď¸
SZA Has Found a Solution for the Backs of Your Shoes đ
If youâve ever flattened the back of a trainer rather than stop to put it on properly, SZA understands. Her mum has been telling her to stop doing it for years, so she has designed the habit into her first VANSZA collection. We imagine that wasnât quite the resolution her mum had in mind.
The Authentic Kickdown, ÂŁ85, has a collapsible heel, letting you wear it as a conventional shoe or step into it as a slip-on. Distressed canvas and artwork by Sage Adams bring the lived-in finish, while the Knu Skool Mule, ÂŁ75, removes the back altogether.
âI love a mule and I love a slide-on,â SZA says, and that preference for ease extends into the clothes. A fleece set carries a photographic print of a worn workwear jacket from her own wardrobe, borrowing its appearance for something softer. Drop 1 launches on Thursday 22nd October, online and in Vans stores.

M&S and Coco de Mer Are Getting Better Acquainted đ
Your next M&S browse could involve an emerald-green embroidered body, a quarter-cup bra or a satin wrap. Its new collaboration with Coco de Mer brings the independent British labelâs more adventurous lingerie designs to a familiar shopping stop, with prices from ÂŁ15 to ÂŁ55. The collaboration brings together two anniversary celebrations, with M&S marking 100 Years of Fashion and Coco de Mer turning 25. London-born model Alva Claire fronts the collection.
Thereâs plenty of detail to look at before choosing your set. Reverie pairs green satin with fan-shaped embroidery, Belle brings eyelash lace to crimson and black, and Siren works with midnight blue and cut-outs. The Belle quarter-cup balcony bra is ÂŁ38, with knickers from ÂŁ15 and a satin wrap at ÂŁ55. These are pieces you might enjoy choosing for yourself without having to explain who theyâre âforâ. The collection is online at M&S and in store at London Pantheon and Handforth. Across the range, sizing spans 30-42, AâH, and XS-XL, with the options depending on the design.
TOAST Lets the Previous Owner Leave a Little Behind đ§ľ
Some of the stitches in a pair of trousers from TOASTâs new collection with Bethany Williams were made by their previous owner. Williams kept them, adding her own work alongside theirs as the cream denim was taken apart and rebuilt.
Each year, TOAST invites guest artists and designers to reinterpret archive garments through handcraft. For this latest Renewed By collection, Williams has created 16 one-off pieces from remnant fabrics, archive clothing and previously worn garments, including pieces returned through TOAST Circle that couldnât be repaired or resold. The ÂŁ495 trousers have an asymmetric shape and multiple waistbands, with those earlier repairs becoming part of the design.
Elsewhere, hand painting, appliquĂŠ and crochet patchwork draw on landscapes and symbols from the Isle of Man, where Williams grew up. Knitted elements were developed with knitwear designer Alice Morell Evans, bringing another pair of hands into a collection that already carries the work of several. You can explore Renewed By Bethany Williams online, where each garment has its own history and reconstruction to discover. Itâs worth a closer look at the details.

Becky G and GUESS Are Revisiting the Low-Rise Years đ
The early 2000s have been back in our wardrobes for a while, but some pieces carry a more specific set of memories than others. GUESSâs new B Jean brings the waistband down and the bootcut back out, with Becky G introducing the launch.
There are five styles, from slim bootcuts to fuller flares, including a version with a triangle panel along the side seam. Vintage-inspired blue washes and black keep the denim familiar, with prices from ÂŁ105 to ÂŁ120. The B Jean collection is available now, with the black bootcut listed in waist sizes 24-34 and leg lengths of 32, 34 and 36 inches.

Hailey Bieber Has Been Taking Notes at the Ballet Studio đа
The little knitted layer over the fitted top. The fold-over trousers. The leg warmers. Hailey Bieberâs new collab with Adanola borrows from the ballet wardrobe, and you donât need to know your pliĂŠ from your pirouette to wear it.
Bieber has designed pieces that sit around the workout as well as within it. The ÂŁ35 knit bolero has short sleeves and a front tie, with wool and mohair in the blend; Fold Over Gathered Yoga Pants are ÂŁ52, while a ÂŁ75 funnel-neck fleece supplies the warmer layer for afterwards. Coffee Bean, Chalk Lilac and Dusty Mauve run alongside black and Denim Blue. The collection is available at Adanola, with pieces including the bolero offered in XXS-XXXL. Itâs limited edition, and the brand says it wonât be restocked, so this is one occasion when leaving a favourite in your basket for a week may have consequences.
Heist Gives the Tights Drawer Some Attention đŚľ
A dress can be perfectly fine until you put the wrong tights with it. Stylist AimĂŠe Croysdillâs second Perfect Ten edit for Heist gets into those choices, selecting ten existing styles in black and ivory, from quieter sheers to patterns that become part of the outfit.
The Shimmer is ÂŁ39, with an all-over shimmer knit, while The Stocking, ÂŁ25, has a silicone grip at the top. At the other end of the edit, the ÂŁ80 Stirrup Legging loops under the foot to keep its line in place. Croysdill dresses names including Nicola Coughlan, but the decisions will be familiar well beyond the red carpet: how much coverage, what finish and whether the tights are going to behave once you leave the house. Browse The Perfect Ten here.
Reign Studio Makes More Room for Fuller Busts at ASOS đ¤
Finding a bra you like shouldnât become a different shopping exercise because you have a fuller bust. Reign Studio is now at ASOS, bringing its wire-free lingerie into the same browse as the dresses, jeans and tops you might want to wear over it.
Founder Kuku Nukajam knows the frustration behind that search. A badly fitting bikini on her honeymoon helped prompt her to build the British lingerie and swimwear brand, teaching herself product development and fit along the way.
The ASOS selection includes the Maya Fuller Bust Bralette, ÂŁ62, and Chill With Me bralette, ÂŁ53, with high-waisted briefs and thongs from ÂŁ29 and Conna boxer briefs at ÂŁ35. Reign Studio caters for 28F-40KK overall, with sizing varying by style. Its arrival follows a win in ASOS and the (Fashion) Minority Reportâs scaleUP programme, including ÂŁ20,000 of support to develop the business.
FARM Rio Brings a Different Print to Football â˝ď¸
Botanical prints might not be the first thing you associate with Real Madrid, but FARM Rioâs new collaboration with adidas and the club brings the Brazilian labelâs flowers and foliage into football clothing and accessories. Inspired by altinha, the Brazilian beach-football tradition, it gives the familiar club identity a different setting.
The green Flowerbana skirt pairs pink daisies with adidasâs familiar three stripes, while the wider collection includes printed shirts, a matching jacket and trousers, and accessories. And a little price-spotting from us: the skirt and tote are ÂŁ10 cheaper each on FARM Rioâs UK site than on Real Madridâs UK shop, at ÂŁ50 and ÂŁ40 respectively đ. Theyâre currently marked âcoming soonâ at FARM Rio, where you can sign up for an availability alert. And if Madrid happens to be on your travel plans, FARM Rioâs temporary shop at 5 Calle de JosĂŠ Ortega y Gasset is open until 15th January 2027. It carries an exclusive edition of the collaboration alongside the wider clothing range.

UGGâs Tasman Has Made Friends With a Penny Loafer đĽż
A penny loafer on the outside, a sheepskin lining within. JW Anderson has given UGGâs familiar Tasman a loafer makeover, adding a rounded toe, stitching and leather keeper to its soft suede construction.
The loafer is ÂŁ280, in colours including chestnut, military green and tangerine, with a ÂŁ380 loafer boot taking the idea up the ankle. Both styles are unisex. The loafer is currently sold out in all colours at JW Anderson, but Dover Street Market London still has some available, so we havenât entirely missed the boat. We can see the chestnut pair slipping into plenty of wardrobes, although the tangerine has our attention for entirely different reasons.
adidas Originals and ASOS Give the Tracksuit Going-Out Plans đ
The tracksuit is getting increasingly comfortable with a dressier invitation. Five womenswear collections into their partnership, adidas Originals and ASOS are looking to â80s sportswear for Collection 05, keeping the familiar three stripes while getting more adventurous with what surrounds them.
That includes giving a brown checked track jacket an embellished neckline, priced at ÂŁ160. Peplum hems and cinched waists change the shape of familiar track tops, while lace inserts add a softer detail. The brown abstract animal-print peplum jacket is ÂŁ100, with matching trousers at ÂŁ80. The collection is available online exclusively at ASOS, in sizes XS-2XL. Whether youâre committing to the co-ord or giving your usual jeans something different to work with, thereâs room to make it your own.
Victoriaâs Secret Heads to LA, and Itâs a Late Night for Us đ
Victoriaâs Secretâs 2026 Fashion Show takes place in Los Angeles on Sunday 18th October, with Megan Thee Stallion, Tate McRae, KATSEYE and Megan Moroney performing alongside the runway show. Gigi Hadid, Ashley Graham, Anok Yai and Paloma Elsesser are among the models announced.
Watching live from this side of the Atlantic requires a little stamina. The show streams free on Victoriaâs Secretâs YouTube channel at 12.30am UK time on Monday 19th October. The limited-edition Backstage Edit is already available, with show motifs and diamantĂŠ details across lingerie, sleepwear and loungewear. Pink striped satin pyjamas are ÂŁ79, with the long set listed in XS-2XL, alongside a ÂŁ65 short robe, a ÂŁ155 black satin bomber and ÂŁ20 shimmer body mists, including Angel Fantasy.
Megan Thee Stallion Brings Her Gym Routine to Gymshark đŞđž
Megan Thee Stallionâs workout updates have become a familiar part of following her, with Pilates, HIIT and weight training sharing space with the music. Now Gymshark has made her its first celebrity ambassador.
Her Gymshark edit brings together the pieces she wears and her own favourites. If the red SoftSense shorts have caught your eye, they arrive on Thursday 22nd October, with a notification sign-up on the page.

LOEWE and On Take the Scenic Route đĽž
You could be forgiven for planning an ambitious walk around LOEWE and Onâs Cloudsolo Hiker. There are lace hooks, a metallic buckle and a chunky, deeply grooved sole, although On describes the ÂŁ650 shoe as made for everyday wear. Your lunch plans neednât involve a summit.
The wider collection explores how getting out into the world feeds creativity, with artists Joan Jonas, Martine Syms and Tarek Atoui sharing their perspectives. For Jonas, that connection comes through movement and the natural world; Atoui approaches it through sound and experimentation, while Syms finds inspiration in navigating the city.
The second new shoe, the Cloudtilt Cosmic, ÂŁ550, changes up the familiar Cloudtilt with transparent layers and a redesigned cushioned sole, in colours including black and white, bright orange and lilac. Parkas, puffers and pleated cargo trousers carry the outdoor influence into clothing, while Swiss Alps prints supply the scenery. The limited-edition collection is available through LOEWE and On, including Cloudtilt Cosmic styles.

Karen Betts Wants You to Keep the Pencil Case đŞ
You finish a lip pencil and throw away the mechanism with it. Karen Bettsâ new KB Pen changes that part of the routine, keeping a stainless-steel case while the cartridge inside is replaced.
It also lets you change what the pen is for. Eye, lip and brow cartridges fit the same case, with 19 shades across the launch. Swap an eyeliner cartridge for a lip pencil and youâre ready for a different job. It holds one cartridge at a time, so youâre choosing a refillable system rather than three products packed into one nib.
Bettsâ background includes HD Brows and Nouveau Lashes, and this own-name launch gives her another place to apply that experience. The complete pen is ÂŁ95 with one cartridge, with extra refills at ÂŁ25. You can choose the cap and barrel finishes too, which makes the object itself part of the appeal.

A Townhouse Manicure Can Start at Home đ đ˝
If you know Townhouse from a salon appointment, its next appearance might be in your home-manicure supplies. The brandâs polish and handcare are now at LOOKFANTASTIC, taking the range beyond its own salons and website for the first time.
The ÂŁ12 polishes include Black Cherry, Milkshake and Glazed Strawberry Milk, with a gel-like finish that doesnât need a UV lamp. These are the home-use polishes, separate from the professional gel range used in salons. Thereâs handcare too, including Cuticle Oil at ÂŁ12.50 and Hand Cream #1 at ÂŁ16. You can browse online or at LOOKFANTASTICâs Altrincham store, with kits from ÂŁ28 if you want the preparation and finishing products brought together.
DedCool Takes Coffee Beyond the Cup âď¸
Fresh coffee has a way of getting our attention before weâve had a sip. DedCoolâs new Mocha Magic starts in that territory, opening with espresso, mocha and cream before moving into biscotti, toffee and bourbon. Vanilla, tonka bean and sandalwood sit beneath it. The LA fragrance brand is bringing it to Space NK, with the 50ml bottle priced at ÂŁ71. Weâd like to find out how all of that wears on skin, preferably with an actual coffee somewhere nearby.
The Beauty Beat Is Bringing Some Very Good Company to London đ
Mel B, Uche Natori and Candice Brathwaite are all on the guest list for The Beauty Beat, and weâd happily pull up a chair. The beauty event dedicated to women of colour is back at Londonâs QEII Centre on Saturday 31st October and Sunday 1st November, with masterclasses, conversations and opportunities to put your own hair, make-up and skincare questions to the experts.
Choosing your day deserves a little attention. Saturday includes Uche Natori with NARS, Mel B on her hair and beauty journey, and Camille Rose founder Janell Stephens. Sunday brings Bernicia Boateng with EstĂŠe Lauder, a beauty group chat and a conversation with Candice Brathwaite. Between sessions, there are consultations and treatments to explore, with Fenty Beauty, MAC, amika and Sephora Collection among the brands involved.
Tickets are ÂŁ85 for one day, including a goodie bag, and must be booked in advance. The event is for ages 16 and over, running from 10am to 6.30pm at The QEII Centre, Broad Sanctuary, Westminster. Have a look through the programme and ticket information to see which day gets your vote.
grace & stella Moves From Under-Eyes to Glossy Lips đ
You may have encountered grace & stella through its eye masks. The latest additions are Luscious Lip Butters, bringing shea butter, coconut oil and jojoba seed oil into three glossy options at ÂŁ9.95 each.
Vanilla Ice Cream and Caramel Latte take their cues from the dessert counter and coffee menu, while Toffee Apple adds a brown-red tint. Each comes with a charm attached: a star for vanilla, a daisy for caramel and a heart for toffee. Wear one on its own for a little gloss, or pair it with your usual lip liner.
Gisou Has Put the Crème BrĂťlĂŠe Crack Into Lip Care đŽ
The first crack through a crème brĂťlĂŠe is a small but important part of ordering one. Gisouâs limited-edition Honey Glaze Lip Mask (ÂŁ22) borrows that detail, with a caramel-style top layer you gently break through using the applicator to reach the vanilla-cream layer beneath. The mask combines the layers as you apply, leaving a sheer golden nude glaze. Honey, ceramides and hyaluronic acid sit in the formula, while a matching Honey Infused Lip Oil (ÂŁ24) offers another version of the dessert-inspired finish.
The 15ml Hair Perfume (ÂŁ20) takes brown sugar, whipped cream and vanilla milk into the haircare side of the collection. You can buy the products individually through Gisou or Sephora, with the complete trio also available at Gisou.

Your Beauty Brand Could Be the Next One Sephora Supports đĄ
The first Sephora Prize winners have just been announced at SEPHORiA, and the search for the next group of beauty founders is already taking shape. The programme offers emerging brands mentoring, visibility and opportunities to work with Sephoraâs team. If youâve ever spotted something missing from your make-up bag and imagined creating it yourself, itâs a glimpse of the support available beyond those first steps.
Applications for the second edition open on Monday 26th October and close on 30th November, with UK brands eligible. Itâs aimed at businesses rather than ideas alone, but whether youâve started yours or are still dreaming about it, the Sephora Prize is one to have on your radar.
punchyâs Electrolytes Have Put the Kettle On âď¸
Hot electrolytes probably werenât on your list of things youâd be putting the kettle on for. But punchy is taking them beyond the cold drinks bottle with its new Hot Electrolytes, designed to be stirred into hot water.
Orange Spice combines orange, ginger and cinnamon, while Blackcurrant brings ginger and elderberry into the mix. Both are caffeine-free, with minerals including magnesium and potassium, plus added vitamins C, D, B6 and B12.
They cost ÂŁ9.99 for seven sachets through punchy. Thereâs also a ÂŁ26.99 starter pack containing 14 sachets across both flavours and a mug. Would you give them a go, or are you sticking with your usual brew?
Louise Thompson Has Suggestions for Going Out and Staying In đď¸
There are evenings when you want to put on a good outfit and leave the house. There are others when the lamp is on, the blanket is within reach and the invitation is going to need to be persuasive. Louise Thompsonâs latest La Redoute edit covers a little of both.
Her selection brings together 38 fashion pieces and 39 homeware choices, including a chocolate cardigan paired with a lace-trimmed satin skirt and suede loafers. At home, muslin bedding and textured upholstery sit alongside the multicoloured Ashwin wool rug, priced at ÂŁ219.
These are Louiseâs choices from the existing ranges, with furniture, lighting and smaller decorative pieces among them. Browse the edit for an outfit idea, a new corner of the room or something that makes staying in a little more tempting.
Lucy Bridgeâs Colour Mode Isnât Keeping Make-up Quiet đ¨
Your everyday make-up bag may be fairly well behaved. Lucy Bridgeâs first book, Colour Mode, has other ideas, bringing dramatic colour, unexpected textures and theatrical characters onto the page. This is make-up worth lingering over, even if your own plans only stretch to mascara and a lip gloss.
Created with Veronica Ditting, the book contains more than 380 images, including ten specially commissioned photographic stories. Photographers including Tim Walker and Carlijn Jacobs explore Bridgeâs work, with body painting extending the possibilities well beyond the face. Behind-the-scenes âLooks in Progressâ let us see some of the experimentation along the way.
The ÂŁ45 paperback is as much a prospect for photography lovers as beauty enthusiasts. You donât have to recreate an entire look to come away curious about a colour you normally leave in the palette.
Grace Carter Is Figuring It Out on When Saturn Returns đś
The world has decided youâre an adult. You would quite like a little more time to work out what that means. Grace Carterâs debut album, When Saturn Returns, comes from that unsettled stretch when relationships, expectations and your understanding of yourself can all change at once.
Carter has spoken about feeling lost during the shifts of her mid-to-late twenties, with the album following a period of writerâs block. A songwriting trip to Stockholm helped her reconnect with making music on her own terms. The 13 tracks include âWhiteâ, âParty Babyâ and âRather You Leaveâ. When Saturn Returns is out now.
Love of Your Life Asks What Comes After the Plan Changes đŹ
Maya meets Charlie, falls in love and starts imagining the life theyâll have together. Then that future is suddenly upended, and the story she thought she was living becomes something she has to find her way through.
Love of Your Life is now streaming on Prime Video UK, with Margaret Qualley as Maya and Gabriel Basso as Charlie. Aaron Pierre, Catherine Keener and Tamara Lawrance are among the cast, with The Fire Inside director Rachel Morrison taking on this story of romance, rebuilding and learning how to love again.
The Joy of Books May Add to Your Reading Pile đ
Ask someone for their favourite book, and you may get a title. Ask what a book helped them through and youâre likely to hear a different kind of story. The Joy of Books, the National Literacy Trustâs new podcast, makes room for those personal connections.
Gaby Huddart hosts, with Maggie Aderin opening the ten-episode series. Guests including Paterson Joseph, Clare Balding, Monica Galetti, Joe Wicks and Mary Portas revisit childhood reading, books that changed their perspective and stories that offered comfort. New episodes of The Joy of Books arrive every Thursday on podcast platforms and YouTube. There are recommendations along the way for the reading list that was almost certainly long enough already.
