FROW News #125: SKIMS Goes Big, Keely Hodgkinson's Nike Moment & Matcha Yaad's Major Milestone 👀✨

This week has been full of brands taking their next big step. Throw in beauty launches, shopping inspiration and a book that's asking us to look at one of Britain's most infamous crimes through a different lens, and here's what's actually worth your attention this week. ⬇️

Nike didn't just ask Keely Hodgkinson to front a campaign. It gave her a collection instead. 🏃🏽‍♀️✨

Winning Olympic gold might have cemented Keely Hodgkinson's place as one of Britain's biggest sporting stars, but her influence has been growing off the track too. Known for her effortless personal style and front row appearances at fashion events, Nike has now handed her her first signature collection.

The collection brings together some of Nike's best-loved performance pieces, including the Pegasus 42 (£134.99), Vomero Plus (£174.99), Vaporfly 4 (£244.99) and Victory 2 spikes (£199.99), alongside matching apparel inspired by Keely's own clean, understated aesthetic. It's another sign that female athletes are shaping far more than sport. They're influencing what we wear and becoming style icons in their own right. Read our full story here.

Olivia Attwood and River Island clearly know they've found a winning formula. ✨🤎

You don't get a third collection together unless the first two have worked, and Olivia Attwood is back with River Island for exactly that. Third time's a charm, they say. Her latest edit, Golden Girl, is designed to take your wardrobe from late summer straight into autumn, with pieces that blend warm-weather dressing with richer seasonal styling.

The collection officially lands on 30th July, but River Island has already opened its early access waitlist, giving shoppers the chance to browse before everyone else. If previous Olivia edits have taught us anything, it's that the most talked-about pieces rarely stay in stock for long. If you've been counting down to autumn fashion, this might just be your excuse to start a little early.

Finding your favourite RIXO dress just got a whole lot easier. 👗✨

John Lewis and RIXO are joining forces for their biggest fashion collaboration to date, bringing an exclusive 44-piece collection to stores nationwide from 22nd October, with prices starting from £65. The vintage-inspired edit includes dresses, knitwear, blouses, jackets, skirts, shoes, bags and scarves.

One detail we love? The collection features an exclusive floral print inspired by a block-printed textile from 1849, taken from the John Lewis Partnership Archive. It’s the first time an archive print has been used in a John Lewis fashion collaboration, adding a little piece of British design history to RIXO’s signature style. If you've been waiting for an easier way to shop the brand beyond its own stores, this could be the collection to watch.

Savage X Fenty's latest drop proves the brand still knows exactly what women want. ❤️✨

Forget saving your best lingerie for special occasions. Savage X Fenty's new Luxe Lace collection leans into soft stretch lace, sculpting fits and bold colourways that are designed to be worn because you want to, not because you're waiting for a reason.

Just keep in mind that some prices are exclusive to members, so it's worth checking before you buy. Whether you're replacing your everyday favourites or treating yourself to something new, this is one collection lingerie lovers will want to keep on their radar.

Coleen Rooney and Primark are back, and this time they're thinking beyond your wardrobe. 🤍✨

Coleen Rooney's collections for Primark have become a regular fixture on the high street, so it's no surprise she's back for Autumn/Winter 2026. Landing in stores from 28th July, this latest edit features affordable everyday fashion, with womenswear priced from £6 to £30, alongside relaxed tailoring, knitwear and easy pieces you'll reach for long after summer has ended.

The biggest change this time is that the collaboration is expanding into kidswear, featuring Coleen's son Cass, making it the first By Coleen collection designed for both mums and little ones. The kidswear range follows in August, selected stores nationwide will also stock the range through Click & Collect, making it even easier to shop the collection.

adidas Originals and ASOS are back with Collection 04, fronted by Ramla Ali. 👟❤️

Following three sell-out drops, adidas Originals and ASOS are continuing their womenswear partnership with Collection 04, fronted by professional boxer, model and style icon Ramla Ali. Inspired by the optimism and spontaneity of late summer, the collection gives familiar adidas Originals pieces a softer fashion feel, with sculptural tracksuits, windbreakers, sleeveless 3-Stripes tops and a cinched-waist jumpsuit inspired by the Firebird.

Prices run from £65, with sizes from XS to 3XL. ASOS.WORLD members can access the collection on 29th July, before it opens to everyone on 30th July.

Alo isn't just coming for your gym wardrobe anymore 👓✨

Alo built its reputation on premium activewear, but the brand is making it clear it has bigger ambitions. Its new eyewear collection marks another step in Alo's evolution from workout label to lifestyle brand, giving shoppers another way to wear the brand beyond leggings and sports bras.

The collection includes a mix of oversized frames, sporty wraparound styles and everyday sunglasses, all designed with the same clean, minimalist aesthetic Alo fans already know and love. The campaign stars Lila Moss, Amelia Gray, Lara Stone, Estelle Chen, Alton Mason and Matthew Noszka, with each showcasing a different silhouette from the debut collection.

SKIMS had a busy week, and fashion fans were paying attention. 🤎

From the launch of its VETTESE collaboration to the opening of its first standalone UK store on Regent Street, SKIMS has given shoppers plenty to talk about. The limited-edition capsule blends VETTESE's sculptural aesthetic with the brand's signature stretch fabrics, with prices starting from £64 and several pieces already selling fast.

The new London flagship marks another milestone for the brand, giving UK shoppers their first permanent SKIMS store while its latest collaboration continues to blur the line between shapewear and fashion.

et al. thinks powder bronzer deserves a glow-up ☀️✨

Powder bronzers haven't changed much over the years, but et al. believes it's time they caught up with the rest of our makeup bags. The new Versatile Bronze Shade + Sculpt has been created to deliver the soft, skin-like finish we usually associate with creams, while keeping all the ease and control of a powder.

Available in Biscuit, Truffle and Mocha, each refill combines two complementary tones that can be worn individually or blended together to build natural-looking warmth and definition. The talc-free formula also contains squalane, aloe vera and vitamin E, and slots into the brand's refillable packaging system. It's skincare-minded makeup without making you choose between performance and finish. Versatile Bronze Shade + Sculpt is available now, priced at £30.

K18 wants us to stop waiting until our hair is damaged 💛✨

K18 built its reputation by repairing damaged hair. Its latest launch is looking even further ahead. The new FutureIQ™ Biomimetic Hair Longevity Serum has been developed to tackle the early signs of hair ageing before they become visible, focusing on concerns such as shedding, premature greying and scalp ageing rather than waiting until damage has already happened. The brand describes it as its biggest innovation since the Molecular Repair Mask and the start of a new chapter in preventative haircare.

The lightweight serum is designed to be used overnight, using K18's new MultiVital™ technology to support healthier-looking, stronger and more resilient hair over time. It'll be available through the Sephora app from 4th August and on K18's website from 5th August, reflecting a growing shift towards preventing hair damage before it starts, rather than simply repairing it afterwards.

Hated matcha. Now it's in Holland & Barrett. 🍵

The first time founder Monique Farquharson tried matcha, she couldn't stand it. Fast forward a few years, and The Matcha Yaad has become the first Caribbean-Japanese ceremonial matcha brand to land on the Holland & Barrett Marketplace, marking a major milestone for the independent business.

Founded in Birmingham, the brand offers its signature Gokou Ceremonial Matcha alongside Caribbean-inspired blends made with Japanese-grown ceremonial matcha, including Strawberry, Peach and Chocolate, with tins priced at £25. It's proof that independent brands can still shake up the wellness aisle.

Chilly's thinks one water bottle should do it all 💧

If your water bottle is warm before you've even finished work, Chilly's reckons it's solved the problem. The new Series 3 Flip keeps drinks cold for up to 75 hours in the 1L (£48) bottle and 45 hours in the 500ml (£40) version, while adding a leak-proof straw lid, antimicrobial drinking surface and a body made from 90% recycled steel.

There's no shortage of reusable bottles these days, but most of us only want to buy one. Whether it's the daily commute, the gym or a weekend away, Chilly's is betting that one bottle should be able to keep up with all of it.

The Burning Fears asks us to remember the women, not just the crime 📚

We've all heard the story of the Yorkshire Ripper. Katy Massey's new novel wants readers to look beyond the headlines and remember the women whose lives were changed forever.

Set in Leeds in 1982, The Burning Fears follows detective Mick Hunniford and brothel owner Maureen as a new investigation forces the city to confront old wounds. Available on 30th July and priced at £10.99, the historical thriller has already picked up praise from bestselling authors including Chris Whitaker and Kit de Waal. More than 40 years on, it serves as a reminder that some of the most important stories are the ones history has too often overlooked.

Ever wondered why you always end up buying the same things? 🛍️

Shopping isn't just about filling your basket. According to fashion brand consultant Elizabeth Stiles and retail strategist Catherine Erdly, it can tell us where culture, trends and even the high street are heading next. That's the thinking behind their new podcast, The Shopping Forecast.

Each episode explores the psychology behind our purchases, the brands shaping consumer habits and the retail trends changing the way we shop. If you're the friend who's always analysing why everyone suddenly owns the same trainers or beauty product, this one deserves a place in your podcast queue.
