FROW News #123: Streetwear Icons, Beauty's Longevity Era & The Women Reclaiming the Walls 👟✨🖼️

Streetwear's biggest names are joining forces, beauty is moving beyond anti-ageing into longevity, and one exhibition is asking who gets remembered on Britain's walls. From beauty launches that go beyond the hype to books worth adding to your summer reading list, here's what's actually worth your attention this week. ⬇️

Vans and BAPE® have given the Knu Skool a streetwear makeover 👟

Two brands that helped define streetwear in different generations are joining forces this summer. Vans has teamed up with Japanese label BAPE® to rework its iconic Knu Skool trainer, combining the silhouette's oversized proportions with BAPE®'s unmistakable camouflage print, STA logo and signature shark-tooth detailing.

Available in Colour Camo Black and a bold pink, purple and green camouflage colourway, the collaboration blends Vans' skate heritage with one of streetwear's most recognisable design languages. From the oversized padded tongue to the signature waffle sole, both brands have stayed true to the details that made them cultural icons in the first place. If previous BAPE® drops are anything to go by, consider this your warning rather than your reminder. The collection lands on 15th July at selected Vans stores and online.

H&M's next designer collaboration is all about buying less, but better 🖤

H&M's latest designer collaboration sees the retailer join forces with New York label WARDROBE.NYC, founded by fashion editor Christine Centenera and designer Josh Goot. Rather than chasing trends, the collection focuses on beautifully cut wardrobe essentials, from sharp tailoring and premium outerwear to elevated jersey and denim, all designed to work together for years rather than seasons.

WARDROBE.NYC built its reputation on the belief that a great wardrobe doesn't need hundreds of pieces, just the right ones. That philosophy makes this collaboration feel particularly relevant at a time when more shoppers are investing in versatile staples they'll reach for season after season, rather than buying into fast-moving trends. The collection arrives on 6th August in selected stores and online at H&M.

ASOS is giving emerging designers a couture-sized platform ✂️

ASOS has unveiled ARRANGE Bespoke, a new collaboration series inviting emerging designers to reinterpret its premium occasionwear label, ARRANGE. The first collaboration comes from Central Saint Martins student Johannes Warnke, whose handcrafted dress made its debut during Paris Couture Week.

Created using production offcuts, surplus materials and naturally dyed peace silk, the one-off piece celebrates craftsmanship, sustainability and the next generation of fashion talent. At a time when breaking into the fashion industry has never felt more competitive, ARRANGE Bespoke gives emerging designers the opportunity to showcase their work on a global stage while giving shoppers a glimpse into the creative thinking behind future collections.

While this first design won't be making its way into anyone's wardrobe, it marks the beginning of ARRANGE Bespoke, with more designer collaborations already in the pipeline. Keep an eye on what's next at ASOS.

Away That Day is swapping block colours for its boldest print collection yet ☀️

If you've ever invested in an Away That Day swimsuit, you'll know the brand has built its reputation on timeless silhouettes and signature block colours. Now it's changing things up with its biggest print launch to date, introducing the new Link Print across bikinis, one-pieces, ready-to-wear pieces and some of its newest silhouettes.

Launching on 14th July, the collection keeps the flattering fits the brand is known for while offering something different for those ready to step away from classic black and neutrals this summer. It also marks a noticeable shift for a brand that's become synonymous with understated swimwear, proving even minimalist labels aren't afraid to embrace a little more colour. Prices start from £55 for bikini bottoms, with one-pieces from £195, with the full collection available at Away That Day.

Britain's royal history has inspired H.AZEEM London's latest jewellery collection 👑

British jewellery designer H.AZEEM London has partnered with Historic Royal Palaces on a new collection inspired by some of the country's most iconic royal residences, including the Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace and Kensington Palace. Featuring more than 30 handcrafted pieces, the collection transforms centuries of British history into contemporary jewellery designed to be worn every day rather than admired behind glass.

From regal motifs to architectural details hidden within each design, the collection celebrates the stories behind some of Britain's best-known landmarks while introducing them to a new generation through jewellery. It's a thoughtful reminder that history doesn't always belong in museums; sometimes you can wear it. With prices starting from £65, the collection is available through H.AZEEM London.

Huda is bringing back one of beauty's biggest throwbacks 💋

Ten years after helping define the liquid matte lipstick boom, Huda is back, giving one of Huda Beauty's most iconic products a modern update. The new Liquid Matte Mousse (£24) keeps the bold colour payoff that made the original a cult favourite but swaps the dry, tight feeling for a whipped, airy texture designed to feel lightweight and comfortable throughout the day.

Launching in eight wearable nude shades, the formula is paired with the brand's Lip Contour 2.0 pencil to create what Huda calls "Softcore Matte Lips", a softer, more diffused take on the ultra-matte lip that helped define beauty in the 2010s. Rather than following the glossy lip trend that's filled makeup bags in recent years, Huda is revisiting the finish that helped make the brand famous, this time with comfort at its core.

And if the campaign videos featuring Mimii Ngulube, Kristy Sarah and Christina Kirkman have already popped up on your feed this week... same. Whether you're ready to part ways with your favourite lip gloss is another question entirely, but it's certainly one of this summer's most interesting beauty launches. It's available now at Sephora and Huda Beauty, ahead of its worldwide launch on 13th July.

Lancôme thinks the future of skincare isn't anti-ageing, it's longevity 🧬

For years, beauty has focused on reversing the visible signs of ageing. Lancôme believes the next chapter is about supporting skin for the long term instead. Its new Absolue Longevity MD collection reflects the growing conversation around longevity that's already reshaping wellness, nutrition and healthcare, bringing that same thinking into skincare.

It's a subtle shift in language, but an important one. Beauty has spent decades asking how we can look younger. Lancôme is asking a different question altogether: how can our skin stay healthier for longer? That thinking sits at the heart of Absolue Longevity MD, which is powered by Mitopure® technology and built around three approaches: Prevent, Correct and Reset. Together, they allow routines to be tailored to where your skin is today rather than simply your age.

The UK launch was also celebrated with Lancôme global ambassador Zoe Saldaña, who fronts the campaign for the collection. Prices start from £135, with the range available at Lancôme.

VIEVE is proving blush still isn't having its moment... it's having its era 🍷

Inspired by the colours of an Italian sunset, Malbec and Sorbet deliver the same luminous, skin-like finish that's helped make the formula a favourite among beauty lovers.

Founder Jamie Genevieve has long championed blush as one of the quickest ways to bring warmth and life back into the complexion, and these latest additions continue that philosophy. Enriched with vitamin C, chamomile flower extract and vitamin E, the lightweight formula combines buildable colour with skincare ingredients designed to nourish while you wear it. If your blush drawer was finally starting to look under control... VIEVE may have other plans.

The Beauty Crop has bottled the glazed blush trend in one box 🍓

Serum blushes aren't going anywhere, and The Beauty Crop is making sure you don't have to choose just one shade. The new Glow Milk Serum Blush Vault brings together all six of the brand's skincare-inspired blushes, each infused with hyaluronic acid and niacinamide to deliver hydration alongside a fresh, healthy flush of colour.

The Glow Milk Serum Blush Vault is £39, while the individual blushes will also be available separately for £10 each from 15th July. Whether you're ready to commit to all six or just dip your toe in, you'll find them at The Beauty Crop.

Fushi's newest Apricot lip oil is treating your lips, not just coating them 🌿

Lip oils may be everywhere right now, but Fushi's new Apricot Lip Treatment Oil is taking a more skincare-first approach. Instead of focusing purely on shine, the formula combines freshly pressed oils with the brand's signature fresh-ground herbs to help nourish, soften and restore lips over time.

Made with cold-pressed botanical oils and naturally derived ingredients, it's designed for anyone looking for lasting hydration rather than a quick glossy finish. In a beauty world where new lip launches seem to appear every five minutes, Fushi is quietly making the case that what's inside the bottle matters just as much as how it looks on your dressing table. Available later this month at Fushi.

Haircare is finally getting its overnight skincare moment 🌙

We've spent years applying overnight face masks and treatments before bed, but hair has largely been left out of the evening routine. Innersense Organic Beauty is hoping to change that with its new Overnight Repair Serum, a leave-in treatment designed to strengthen damaged hair while you sleep.

The formula combines hydrolysed moringa seed protein to help rebuild weakened hair bonds, tamanu oil to smooth and hydrate, and calming lavandin extract, turning an everyday treatment into more of a bedtime ritual. As overnight skincare became one of beauty's biggest categories, it was probably only a matter of time before haircare joined the sleepover too. The Overnight Repair Serum launches on 2nd August, priced at £40.

Stephanie Yeboah is back with a brand-new romcom 📚

Author, content creator and body image advocate Stephanie Yeboah is back with a new novel, Doing It for the Plot. Following the success of her previous books, she's now turning her attention to romantic fiction with a story that's already shaping up to be one of this summer's most anticipated reads.

The novel follows Enia, a hopeless romantic who's convinced her life needs a plot twist, only to discover that real life rarely sticks to the script. Packed with humour, friendship and plenty of heart, it's a reminder that sometimes the best stories are the ones we never planned. Whether you've been following Stephanie's work for years or you're simply looking for your next holiday read, Doing It for the Plot is published on 23rd July. Pre-order wherever you buy your books.

The exhibition asking who gets remembered on Britain's walls 🖼️

Walk through many of Britain's boardrooms, universities and public buildings and you'll probably notice something: the walls are still overwhelmingly filled with portraits of men. Empowering Her, created by artist Caroline de Peyrecave in partnership with UN Women UK, hopes to change that through a striking collection celebrating eight remarkable women, including broadcaster Emma Barnett, scientist Dame Maggie Aderin-Pocock and campaigner Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe.

Following its London exhibition, the collection is now available for organisations, universities and public institutions across the UK to host, encouraging more spaces to celebrate the women shaping society today. Whether you're simply interested in the conversation or in a position to influence the spaces around you, it's a reminder that representation isn't just about who's in the room. It's also about who's on the walls. Find out more at Empowering Her.
