FROW News #119: Eve’s Tiny Desk Triumph, Topshop’s Resort Comeback & The Football Shirt That Beats You To Kick Off 🎾👙⚽

Eve just proved age really is nothing but a number. Topshop took over a British country house for their resort comeback. ASOS will now deliver you a football shirt faster than the pre-match build up. And somewhere between a Mediterranean swimwear debut, a Boots-exclusive K-beauty launch and Jamaica taking over Brixton for the summer, there was simply too much to fit in one scroll. Let’s get into it.

Michael Kors took us to Saint Tropez without leaving the wardrobe 🌊

Michael Kors has released a limited-edition capsule with Brooklyn-based artist Christina Zimpel, a creative friendship that goes back years and finally has a collection to show for it. Zimpel created two original artworks for the collaboration, a vivid beach scene and a colourful reinterpretation of Saint Tropez's iconic bell tower, both printed across sarongs, shirt dresses, totes and bucket hats. The result reads exactly as Kors intended, optimistic and sun-bleached without trying too hard. Available online and at select Michael Kors stores.

ESSEN The Label just gave its best-selling shoes a snake print update worth knowing about 🐍

The Evening Sandal and The Foundation Flat are ESSEN The Label's two signature silhouettes, and both have just been reissued in snake-embossed Italian leather in shades of cream, grey and charcoal. Every pair is handcrafted. The brand produces on demand or in small batches, cutting overproduction by up to 90%, with blockchain traceability built into a QR code on every shoebox. The Evening Sandal is £275, The Foundation Flat £295, both available exclusively at essenthelabel.com.

Topshop and Topman took the Summer Edit to a British country house and it was worth the trip ☀️

Cowdray House does not feel like an obvious setting for a Topshop launch, and that is exactly why it worked. The Summer Edit: Resort collection was unveiled there in front of guests, with the design teams walking through the story behind the collection and Topshop stylists offering real-time feedback on the spot. The collection itself draws on sun-drenched Puerto Rico, with Yves Klein blue, burnt orange and turquoise running through statement occasionwear, printed co-ords and festival dressing, balanced against warm neutrals and tinted denim. The kind of range that makes you want to book somewhere hot purely to have somewhere to wear it. Available now at topshop.com.

Primark and Prince have made tennis whites genuinely affordable again 🎾

The court-to-street trend has been building for a while, and Primark's new collaboration with Prince, the racquet sports brand with over fifty years of sporting heritage, lands at exactly the right moment with the Grand Slam season underway. British tennis player Eden Silva fronts the 27-piece collection, which spans tennis dresses, pleated skirts, relaxed sweatshirts and accessories in green, navy and classic tennis white. Available in select Primark stores across 16 markets and via Click and Collect in Great Britain now.

New swimwear brand Lamarae just made our summer list 🌊

Ocean-inspired, sculpted to flatter and finished with delicate chain straps, new swimwear brand Lamarae's debut collection is the kind of find that makes scrolling worthwhile. Bikini tops and bottoms are sold separately to get the fit genuinely right, with tops starting at £56 and bottoms at £50. New to FROW, and very much on our radar now. Available globally at lamarae.com.

ASOS will now deliver a football shirt to your door faster than the pre-match analysis ⚽

Open the Deliveroo app, choose your shirt, watch it arrive in as little as 25 minutes. That is the entire pitch behind ASOS and Deliveroo's new partnership, now live across Greater London and Manchester. Fifteen ASOS DESIGN football shirt designs span England, Spain, Brazil, Argentina, Portugal, Germany, Mexico and the Netherlands, with womenswear styles including shirred baby tees, off-shoulder tops, bandeaus and oversized tees alongside the men's options. Whatever the reason your match-day shirt has gone missing, and ASOS is clearly expecting several, the wait is officially over. From £12 to £22, sizes XS to XL.

By Terry's new Matcha Mist Elixir is the shake, spray, reset moment your skin has been missing 🍵

Terry de Gunzburg has called Matcha Mist Elixir more than an evolution, a true skincare revolution, and the bi-phase formula backs that up. Inspired by Korean skincare rituals, the milky mist combines matcha and oat for an antioxidant hit, centella asiatica to support the skin barrier, and aloe vera and calendula for hydration, all in a lightweight, non-sticky finish that delivers up to 24 hours of hydration on face and body. Shake, spray, reset, as the brand puts it. £59, available at byterry.com.

What's That Patch built a sleep patch with no melatonin, and a genuinely good reason for it 🌙

Sleep Deep is What's That Patch's first nighttime product, and the brand has deliberately avoided melatonin altogether. Most supplements contain fifteen to thirty times the body's natural nightly production, which co-founder Arnaud Touret argues disrupts circadian signalling over time. Instead, Sleep Deep leans on four ingredients, honokiol and apigenin among them, that work with the body's own sleep-promoting pathways via a transdermal patch worn overnight, avoiding the 3am fade that comes once an oral supplement wears off. £19 for a one-month supply of 30 patches. whatsthatpatch.co

The Lab Co. wants you to rethink what clean fragrance can actually smell like 🌸

Violet Riot is The Lab Co.'s first fine fragrance, built under the brand's Radically Clean and Hormone-Kind Standard, which avoids ingredients flagged under Breast Cancer UK's Chemicals of Concern framework while still delivering proper fragrance complexity. Citron, clary sage and pepper open the scent, violet and rose sit at the heart, amber, benzoin and cedarwood close it out. Founders Josh and Tess built the brand on the idea that clean fragrance does not have to mean simple fragrance. £75 for 60ml, available now at thelabco.com.

LABEL.M says it can make hair survive 96 hours of humidity. We want to test that claim 💙

Humid-Defy Mist is LABEL.M's answer to the one thing weather forecasts cannot fix. Frizz that creeps in regardless of how good your blow-dry was that morning. Powered by smart silicones that target only the damaged, raised areas of the hair cuticle rather than coating every strand equally, the heat-activated mist also cuts drying time by up to 35% and protects against heat styling up to 230°C. Efi Davies, British Hairdresser of the Year and TONI&GUY's International Artistic Director, has already put her name to it. £30 at shop.toniandguy.com.

CeraVe wants you to stop skipping moisturiser the second it gets hot ☀️

Dr Derrick Phillips, CeraVe's consultant dermatologist, has a clear message ahead of the next heatwave: skin still needs water when it is hot outside, however oily it might feel. The new Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Water Gel is the brand's answer, an ultra-lightweight, water-based formula that delivers up to 72 hours of hydration using three essential ceramides, hyaluronic acid and niacinamide, without clogging pores. The great summer moisturiser switch up, sorted. £19.50, available now at Boots, LookFantastic and Superdrug.

EQQUALBERRY has landed in the UK and the Swimming Pool Toner alone is worth the trip to Boots 🍒

The Korean skincare brand has built genuine global buzz on the strength of its playful aesthetic and skin-first formulas, and the UK launch, exclusively at Boots, gives us a proper look at why. The NAD+ Peptide Boosting Serum combines NAD+, peptides, vegan collagen and five ceramides for firmness and bounce. The Swimming Pool Toner uses natural enzymes and eight types of hyaluronic acid to gently exfoliate without irritation. Plant-based alternatives throughout, suitable for all skin types. Serums and creams £21.99, toners £19.99.

Eve's Tiny Desk debut is proof that age really is just a number 🎤

Eve has made her NPR Tiny Desk debut, running through a set that includes Who's That Girl, Satisfaction and the Grammy-winning Let Me Blow Ya Mind. We watched it. It is genuinely one of the best Tiny Desk performances in recent memory, full stop. It comes ahead of her first ever headline UK and EU tour this October and November, celebrating 25 years of Scorpion, the album that made her the third female rapper ever to top the US charts with a debut. The London date lands at the O2 Forum Kentish Town on 2nd November. Watch the Tiny Desk set first if you need convincing. You will not need much. Tickets available now.
