Comme des Garçons & Converse Launch Reimagined PLAY Chuck 70 Sneakers & We’re Obsessed!

Published

Streetwear brand Comme des Garçons and sneaker experts Converse have breathed new life into their Converse X PLAY Chuck 70 by reimagining their original design. The original collection, created in 2009, has been in high demand since its launch – so no doubt these new designs will be one to get your hands on fast!

The new sneaker boasts the same design as their first-ever collection but instead features a red midsole with foxing and a black/white pinstripe cutting through the sole. The Chuck 70 canvas also sports the Japanese fashion label’s iconic heart-with-eyes logo from the original designs.

Converse and Comme des Garçons combined forces with co-creatives; Ronnie Cooke Newhouse, Karl Bolander and Craig McDean, to capture a new range of striking visuals for the newest collection. The shoes are placed playfully on top of one another with a striking red background reflecting the newest sole colour. The creatives’ goal was to highlight to consumers that the new range offers a ‘fresh new perspective’ for the brand new year.

If you’re looking to step up your sneaker game with a shoe that stands out, the new collection will retail at £130, offering both Hi-top and Lo-top executions, and is available from a range of select retailers. You can shop the collection at the Comme des Garçons and Dover Street Market stores globally, as well as being available to purchase online from March 24th.
