Darryl Brown Is Ripping Up The Adidas Rulebook
We have more exciting news in the shoe department this week, this time in the form of Darryl Brown linking up with Adidas. Following on from the success Brown found with his Midwest Kids Forum Low 84 drop, the Toledo-based designer tapped into the blue-collar history of the region that he calls home, with nods to his basketball heritage and skateboarding communities.
The shoe’s upper is coated in “Jade Green,” a hue that is reminiscent of his father’s workwear uniform. Rounding off the design, the traditional Adidas Three Stripe branding and the heel section is adorned in “Off White,” with the rubber outsole coming in a dirty-brown tone. We think these are some of the hottest creps to have dropped this year, with Brown’s backstory giving the shoes real weight and not to mention his simple yet stunning take on a traditional Adidas Samba. The trainer is available through the Adidas CONFIRMED app and select retailers, priced at £85.
