Your 2020 Summer Fragrance Guide

It’s soon to be the start of summer, and this normally means our wardrobes and beauty products get revamped and we begin to look forward to some sun. Some people also like to switch up their fragrances for the new season. Here’s a few scents we recommend.

For Her

Launching at the end of the month with John Lewis, we have Arizona Bloom by Floral Street. This is a dry floral amber scent with ingredients that can help to energise. It is inspired by arid wilderness, neon skies, eternal sunshine, and the growing trend in wellness. It comes in 50ml but also available in 10ml, which is perfect for travelling or handbags.

Yardley London has an Opulent Rose fragrance. Rosewater has some great benefits; such as it’s highly moisturising so isn’t heavy on the skin. It contains antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, which is great for our current climate and great for soothing skin conditions. And finally, it’s a classic refreshing scent that can be worn all day and suitable for any occasion. June’s birth flower is a Rose, so it’s only right to start summer off smelling like one.

If you’re really wanting to splash the cash you can indulge in Jo Malone’s Spring/Summer Blossoms collection. The collection includes two new scents Yuja and Waterlily, which explore a contrast between citrus fruits and radiant white waterlilies. There are four scents all together, individually priced at £52 for 30ml and £104 for 100ml.

For Him

As Father’s day is approaching you may want to buy for your dad or the father figure in your life a new summer smelling aftershave. They always make a good gift!

First up, we have Salvatore Ferrgamo Ferragmo. With hints of vibrant bergamot and lemon alongside sage, it combines floral yet metallic notes of a violet accord. This aftershave is great to capture that citrus smelling holiday just from a bottle. It’s priced at £54 and available at The Fragrance Shop.
