The Independent, Sustainable Lingerie Brand We Are Currently Obsessing Over

Subdued elegance meets timeless style, creative innovation meets ethical fabrics at the birth of independent lingerie brand CREASE Studios. Created by London College of Fashion graduates Kate and Rosemary who met in their final year of study, the label stand for redefining the fashion industry and delivering high quality sustainable garments.

These simple but classic, timeless designs are rooted in luxury, with delicate fabrics, ruched detailing and thoughtfully considered pieces that are always of top quality. Handcrafted in their South London studio out of integrity, honesty and creativity, the brand aims to reduce environmental waste and harness the power of slow ethical fashion. Pledging to create timeless lingerie and outerwear pieces that become wardrobe staples and stand the test of time, the label is shaped by their commitments to initiate positive change in the fashion industry.

From garment design and manufacturing to packaging and distribution, the brand always ensures they are reducing textile waste and are constantly challenging the way they work. Their elegant pieces are made using sustainably sourced biodegradable fabrics including natural silk. As well as actively avoiding reliance on plastic, using sustainably sourced packaging and attaching swing tags made from 100% recycled t-shirts. The pieces are produced through a made to order system, creating small quantities to reduce material and pattern cutting waste. Where offcuts occur, they are reinvented into new stylish creations, producing one of a kind unique accessories including bags and face masks – and we all know there is nothing better than a one-off design! What’s more, the brand even offers a repair service to all customers where for a small fee you can send your CREASE Studios pieces to be repaired, extending a garments life cycle and encouraging circular fashion.

With deconstructed pieces influenced by the narrative of calmness and the unequivocal beauty of nature, many of the brand’s designs, prints and silhouettes take inspiration from beach elements including the sky, sea, clouds and scallops. The hardware and intricate detailing of their garments are even taken from natural resources themselves with buttons made from shells.

The brand is materialising a new wave in sustainable lingerie, one that is kind to the earth without compromising on style, experimenting with the old and classic but is not afraid of the new. With prices ranging from £38 to £725, their ethical designs are available to shop from the official website so be sure to check them out.
