Riding the Sustainable Upcycle & Joining the Skincare Revolution

Friday is here and that can only mean one thing, we’re back with another weekly roundup of fashion, beauty and lifestyle news! In celebration of this year’s World Earth Day, we’re talking all things sustainable whilst dipping into vegan skincare, eyeing up an innovative lash launch and preparing you for the perfect pre-summer glow. You won’t want to miss this one!

Celebrate Eid in Style with Daska

When Eid celebrations call, we can always rely on Daska to answer with a modern contemporary collection that has a little something for everyone. Known for their timeless style, empowering designs and elevated approach to modest fashion, the FROW favourites have launched their first collection to celebrate Eid. From pleated sage green two pieces and sequin floor lengths gowns to embellished iridescent blouses and vibrant monochrome trousers, the refined collection is the perfect way to take you from the daytime to elegant evening celebrations no matter your size, style and shape.

Planting, Preserving and Protecting with Panagaia x Vandy The Pink

Painting the perfect picture of sustainable style, innovative athleisure brand Pangaia has pencilled in graphic artist Vandy The Pink to launch a collaboration for both the eco and fashion-conscious. Raising awareness around the importance of protecting our planet’s trees, the limited edition collection is home to an oversized hoodie, track pants and t-shirt; all crafted from the brand’s medium-weight 100% organic cotton. The exclusive pieces are available in two colourways from a neutral beige inspired by the sun-warmed sand to a dark brown inspired by the pigmented colour of the chestnut splashed with the artist’s graphics to illustrate the strength, power and beauty of the Earth. The collection is now available, with donations going to Direct Relief which provides medical aid to Ukraine and surrounding areas.

One Step for Tom’s, One Step for Sustainability

Stepping into the season in sustainable style; American footwear label Toms have launched their latest collection to celebrate World Earth Day. Crafted from 50% recycled and recyclable material content that helps keep waste out of landfill, the collection is home to a range of versatile menswear, womenswear and kidswear styles from the comfy mallow mules to the classic Alpargata sneakers. What’s more, once you’ve worn out your favourite style, you can take them to one of the reclaim centres to be recycled into a brand new product. We don’t know about you but we’ll be wearing, reclaiming and repeating with the brand’s latest launch!

Thanks, it’s Vintage! Rianna and Nina Land at Selfridges

This World Earth Day, modern luxury brand Rianna and Nina have launched an exclusive accessories collection, continuing their story of style and sustainability. After meeting at a vintage furniture fair and bonding over their mutual love of vintage art and collector’s pieces, the brand is one for those who are tired of mass-market luxury and seek something to treasure. Home to the Bonbag bag crafted from 100% silk scarves representing timeless beauty and the unique treasure box handmade in Milan alongside the elegant elastic bracelet made from couture fabrics and embellished 1950s brooches, the collection fuses opulent heritage and tradition with contemporary style.

Jetting Ready for Michael Kors Kids Collection

Like a kid in a designer sweetshop or perhaps playing in a kid’s designer playground, luxury modern fashion house Michael Kors have launched their first-ever childrenswear collection in partnership with French group CWF. In a quintessential blend of fashion and functionality and style and sensibility, the capsule collection finds confidence in comfort. Inspired by the Spring womenswear line, the kids Jetset range flies between sleeveless dresses, activewear fleeces, refreshing swimwear, printed dresses and relaxed fit skirts; perfect for the summertime. Debuting in-store and online, with clothing and accessories for girls aged 4 to 14, the Jetset capsule is one that we’re ready to board this season!

Ride the Upcycle with Palmer/Harding’s OUTNET Capsule

Luxury online retailer THE OUTNET has launched London-based label Palmer//Harding’s upcycled capsule. Constructed in signature styles and reimaging classic archival fabrics, the 27 piece capsule collection (three exclusive to THE OUTNET) revisits the summer staple Broderie Anglaise Poet Dress as well as the flowing Sequel Shirt amongst asymmetric silhouettes and fresh colourways. Experimental and innovative yet timeless and elegant, the collection homes in on the brand’s expert pattern cutting, draping techniques and design sensibility whilst injecting a sense of refreshing newness and contemporary esque. Putting the work into rework, this collection drop is one we wouldn’t want you to ride past!

Two years in the making and the debut skincare line from beauty journalist, broadcaster and author Sali Hughes in collaboration with Revolution Skincare has arrived and it’s fair to say it’s hit the right spot! Described as the white t-shirt of skincare, the effective products are both cruelty-free and vegan friendly; crafted from active ingredients and hydrating formulas. The six product line is home to two cleansers, one regenerative acid exfoliant, one antioxidant Vitamin C serum protecting against UV rays and two rich, hydrating moisturisers; one for dry skin containing squalene, glycerin and shea butter and the other a balmy gel perfect for oily complexions. It’s a Clear (and Clean) Day for Tanning

Introducing the new-gen way to achieve your everyday summer glow, Sienna X’s Clear Tan Water Mousse collection has landed in three shades. Gone are the days of tan-stained sheets as the new vegan and cruelty-free formula contains no guide colour; meaning our clothing stays clean. Ideal for first-time tanners or those who are after an enhanced top-up, the new clear products contain Hyaluronic Acid to hydrate the skin and Aloe Vera to gently moisturise. If that didn’t prepare you for a vacation, the tan smells of fresh peach, honey, blossom, jasmine and amber to create that perfect summer scent.
