Adidas and Wales Bonner are ‘Representin’ the Reggae Boyz

Jamaica’s national football team ‘The Reggae Boyz‘ have revealed their newest football kit, launching in the country’s famous colours. The collection is in collaboration with adidas and luxury British fashion brand Wales Bonner – founded by British designer Grace Wales Bonner, celebrating her Jamaican heritage. Fronting the campaign is British grime legend Kano, another proud Jamaican bringing together sport, fashion, music and culture. The home shirt comes in green, black and gold and the away shirt comes in a ‘night brown’ which celebrates the country’s proud history of craftsmanship and fashion production – wearing this, the team will be saying ‘nothing can hold we down’.

A Penny for your thoughts with Nike and Stussy

Nike’s newest Air Penny Collection launched this month, collaborating with streetwear stars Stussy. This collection has been created to embrace comfort and throw us back to the 90s, with baggy, oversized silhouettes, and minimalist colours including blues, blacks and greys. The Air Penny range is one of the brand’s most popular – beginning in 1995 as a signature sneaker for NBA legend Penny Hardaway. Memphis Grizzlies Point Guard and young NBA star Ja Morant have finally revealed his first signature sneaker with Nike. The young baller is Nike’s first Gen Z signature athlete, and his new ‘Ja 1’ sneaker is certainly as eye-catching as he is on the court. British sportswear brand Fred Perry and Luxury fashion designer Raf Simons have released their final collection, which looks set to revitalise retro streetwear. The collection takes inspiration from the underground club scene that found notoriety within Simons’ home nation of Belgium. The pieces include jackets, jumpers and the iconic Fred Perry Polo Shirt, all of which adopt the signature sleek silhouettes and dark tones that the brand is known for. The anticipated collection is available at designer fashion retailer Coggles, with prices starting at £100.

Off White x Chicago Bulls produce Courtside Class

Off-White is continuing to honour the late founder Virgil Abloh’s legacy by producing the best in high-end, luxury streetwear – one of the biggest fashion brands in the world has partnered with the NBA’s most famous franchise Chicago Bulls, coming together to produce a collection that will no doubt be memorable. The capsule consists of limited edition varsity jackets, a hoodie and t-shirts celebrating Abloh’s passion for basketball and his hometown. The t-shirts and hoodies are priced between £842 to £1135 and the varsity jackets range between £3,196 to £4,278. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Virgil Abloh Foundation.

Rich Paul is well known in American sports, he is considered to be one of the most powerful sports agents in the world, with LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Draymond Green just a few of the clients he manages. His experiences within the sport have led him to diversify, creating a new sportswear brand Klutch Athletics– co-designed with New Balance. The brand provides sports training gear to athletes, providing for children, teens, and adults the brand aims to provide high-quality training apparel to help people progress within their athletic careers. adidas revive Mamba Memories

To celebrate the NBA’s ‘All Star Weekend’ adidas have re-released their ‘Crazy 1’s’ in the famous gold and purple colours of the LA Lakers – celebrating the late Kobe Bryant’s impact on the sport and the city of Los Angeles. The shoe is notorious for being Kobe’s go-to during his rookie seasons and no doubt old-school basketball fans will be hit with a wave of nostalgia. Zara and Rhuigi Villaseñor team up for the second time

Zara has collaborated with fashion designer and founder of ‘RHUDE’ Rhuigi Villaseñor, together they have created a new clothing collection called ‘Redesigning Human Uniform’ (RHU) – the collection, entitled Cross Country, contains over 20 pieces including Rhuigi’s signature varsity jackets, t-shirts and denim pieces. The main focus of the collection as the name suggests is to be ready for all terrains, and provide functionality – taking inspiration from outdoor hiking clothing, workwear as well as luxury fashion. Zara and Rhugi are ‘Rhipping’ up the streetwear rulebook with this newest collection. Prices for the collection start from £9.99

Going Undercover with Eastpak

On the theme of functionality, backpack giants Eastpak have revealed the products in their collaboration with Japanese streetwear brand ‘Undercover’ – a core principle within the collaboration is merging ‘Military Utility’ and urban street culture, Backpacks, Duffel Bags and Crossbody pouches are included, and all of them adopt a ‘camo’ inspired colour scheme. These bags will be with you whether you’re on the streets or hiking in the sleet. Prices range from £70 for the cross-body bags up to £160 for the duffels, and all are available on the brand’s website.

The Timberland boot turns 50

To celebrate half a century of the Timberland boot, the footwear giants have teamed up with a number of creatives and designers to help reimagine the Timberland boot in 6 different ways. The ‘Future73’ collection will be released between March and October 2023, to celebrate the 50th birthday of the shoe. Many well-known creatives are on board, including Samuel Ross – the founder of A-COLD-WALL*Edison Chen – The founder of streetwear brand CLOT as well as Christopher RaeburnHumberto Leon, Suzanne Oude Hengel and Nina Chanel Abney. Alongside their unique versions of the Timberland Boot, the creatives will also release limited-edition apparel pieces.
