Tuesday saw the end of March 2022’s Paris Fashion Week, and while most people say ‘Adieu’ to the Catwalk, here at FROW we are giving you the rundown on some of the top collections fresh from the runway! From Streetwear to Minimalism, we have the latest straight from the catwalk.

UGG X Germanier

Iconic boot brand UGG partnered with sustainable designer Kevin Germanier for the brand’s debut show during Paris Fashion Week. Germanier, known for his intricate and extreme designs, took the classic Californian boot brand to new heights by creating an exclusive over-the-knee runway look. The boots were embellished with vivid and vibrant beading, feathers, embroidery and upcycled Swarovski crystals that contributed to turning the UGG as we know it, into something entirely different. UGG and Germanier created a collection made up of extraordinary craftsmanship that left a lasting impression on Fashion Week Fans.

In these silhouettes, there is everything that roars in me […] to tell life in all its brilliance. - Kevin Germainer

Miu Miu

Prada’s sister label Miu Miu, played around with a sporty look for Paris Fashion Week, debuting a tennis-inspired collection with a preppy twist. Miu Miu worked with a predominantly white, red and navy blue colour palette and blended multiple textures together; pairing knitwear and patent leather looks with faux furs and their iconic cotton miniskirts. The Paris Fashion Week collection also saw the return of Miu Miu menswear which had been absent from the catwalks since 2008, and it came back with a bang, including notable pieces like their short-shorts and oversized leather coats.

Flying Solo

Independent designer fashion platform Flying Solo made their mark on Paris Fashion Week by presenting a ‘500’ look show featuring collections from over 65 designers including 831 MINHLE, EARTH4863 Brand and Elif Kose Fashion House. The runway show saw collections of menswear, womenswear, accessories, jewellery and shoes that offered something suited to everyone’s individual tastes. The collection played on an abundance of trends from ruffles to streetwear silhouettes and intricate eveningwear jewellery – each design wowed guests from all around the world that had been queuing all day for the show.

Undercover

Jun Takahashi’s punk-fused streetwear brand, Undercover, introduced a darker collection to Paris Fashion Week. Takahashi played with a night and day colour palette, working with an array of colours from black, white and gold to red, cream, green and purple to pull together a grunge street-style collection made up of striking silhouettes and textures. Dubbed the “Cold Flame” collection, Takahashi captured the fierceness and sensuality of femininity with his designs.

Sacai

Sticking to their use of contrasting textures and fabrics, Sacai brought a classic but creative collection to Paris Fashion Week. Pairing structured double-breasted coats and shirts with leather leggings and trousers, as well as reworking and remodelling vintage silhouettes. Sacai, known for their juxtaposition of different materials, mixed silks and chiffons with tweed and shearling to create abstract and unique outfits.

Rokh

Describing their brand as ‘artisanal imperfection’ Rokh brought a collection boasting an eclectic mix of themes and styles to Paris Fashion Week. Playing with patent leather, feathers, gingham prints, silks, satins and crystals, the designer created a variety of looks ranging from minimalistic to extravagant. The collection is called “Hometown Hero” as the collection is heavily inspired by his hometown heritage and the dreams he and his sister shared when they were younger.
