Curl-Envy Is A Thing Of The Past With Haircare Essentials From PATTERN

10 years in the making and a lot of formula testing later, the award-winning star from Black-ish, Tracee Ellis Ross, released her hair care brand PATTERN back in 2019. The diverse brand was created to meet the formally unmet specific needs of women with curly, coiled and tight-textured hair.

Ross developed the company with women who understand the legacy and needs of textured hair because she felt the market was missing accessible products that embraced the uniqueness of texture and curls.

Each product and tool has been designed to help support and enhance your natural hair pattern and if you are someone that struggles with maintaining your hair in the cold, wind and rain.

Every curl has a story. And like many of us, the story of my hair is really an evolutionary tale of self-love. We build a community out of our curls and coils

Tracee’s Top 3 Winter Curl-care Tips using the essentials:

  • 1. Don’t over moisturise

Some may think that the winter season means you have to moisturise more, but in reality, a lot of people end up over-moisturising their hair, making it too soft and fragile whilst promoting hair breakage! During winter, simply apply the PATTERN Heavy conditioner as a hair mask under your hairdryer to prevent damaged hair.

  • 2. Don’t underestimate your curls

  • 3. Trim and detangle to prevent split ends

Keep your ends properly hydrated and conditioned, and always use proper Curly Hair Accessories, such as a comb or a brush, from the bottom up when styling. The ends are the oldest part of your hair which means that they’re the most prone to splitting. Scheduling regular trims to get rid of that part of the hair means that your ends can stay healthy and strong.
