Pangaia X Takashi Murakami Unveil Their New Collection in Collaboration With MoMA

Published

Returning with another limited-edition collaboration, Takashi Murakami is once again teaming up with sustainable athleisure brand PANGAIA, this time in celebration of the intersectionality of art and innovative design for New York City’s Museum of Modern Art design store. The Spring Summer capsule collection will also raise awareness for bee conservation charities through their BeeTheChange global campaign.

Drawing inspiration from traditional Japanese artwork, sci-fi and anime, the brand’s distinctive floral motifs fuse pop culture, history and fine art. The gender-neutral collection will be home to the brand’s signature heavyweight designs and relaxed silhouettes. Embroidered with a colourful animated bee and statement smiling flower bombs, the capsule collection will include an oversized sky blue hoodie and a white t-shirt.

Crafted from natural, eco-conscious materials including organic cotton and recycled seaweed fibre and dyed using environmentally friendly practices, the products follow the brand’s efforts to creating on-trend sustainable garments. For every product they sell, one tree is planted or protected.

With t-shirts priced at $95 and hoodies at $220, the collection is now available at the MoMa Design. As last year’s Bee The Change collection sold out in a matter of minutes, the latest drop is expected to fly off the shelves so we’d be quick if we were you!
